There are dead trees everywhere. Not a single pine has been lucky enough to escape the jaws of the hungry beetle. As deciduous trees turn green the tell tale orange needles are becoming obvious. We're lucky we have no Pine trees on our city property. Cutting them down is big business. It is heartbreaking to see vast swaths, of what were once pretty forests leveled in a matter of days. Our new property doesn't have much pine either. The few dead trees will be cut down to keep us warm next winter.
