What thoughts I have of you tonight, ipod, for I went into london drugs wearing my desire on my teeshirt, podcast listening bursting out of my brain. What apple logos and ipod slogans! Whole shelves full of ipod shuffles, cases full of ipod nanos and u2 ipods bolted to the counter top, Grandmas in the aisles, shop girls behind the counters - and you ipod buying consumer ...

Yesterday I broke down and joined the club. I got the smallest shuffle because it was cheap and I could have it now, I love instant gratification. I came straight home and downloaded all my unheard podcasts. That is nine hours of listenning time and I've barely filled at third of its 512 MB storage capacity.

I love it. I've been listening in the car, with the help of my handy tape adapter, listening while walking, grocery shopping and building, which is mostly why I wanted it . Maybe I will rip some of my classical Cd's to fill up the other two thirds of its hardrive.
